Multiple DP Architects projects awarded at Architecture, Design and Construction Awards 2020
Nanjing Chuangyuan Tower, designed by DP Architects and led by director Mr Wu Zhi Wei, was crowned a winner in the Mixed-Use (Built) category in the Architecture, Design and Construction Awards 2020.
The project stands at 50 metres tall tower and creatively utilises a “Green Deck” to organise the different programmes of the development; allowing the hotel and office spaces within to function as distinct units. The ingenuity of its design is also evident in the way which the nautilus-inspired architectural form pays attention to detail and sensitively responds to its natural surrounds to enrich the user experience while establishing itself as an iconic building at the heart of Nanjing Tech Park, where China’s next generation of technology giants abide.
Qingdao Hotel Design Concept clinched a second award under Hospitality (Concept) and Bagmane Aquila came in third in the Commercial (Built) category, respectively.
Bagmane Aquila, a LEED Gold certified building located in Bagmane Constellation Business Park, serves as a multi-tenanted IT office building. Designed for natural and optimal footprint with richly landscaped plazas and amenity spaces, it was developed through a thorough analysis and understanding of the site’s terrain and topography, accessibility infrastructure and visibility.
The Qingdao Hotel Design Concept is an integrated resort nestled within a wetland park in Jiaozhou Bay. The luxury hotel, surrounded by low-rise residential villas, takes into account Qingdao’s mild climate and picturesque landscapes, and aspires to be a recreational destination focusing on health and wellness.
The ACDA award programme recognises outstanding works in the field of Architecture, Interiors, Product Design, Landscape & Urban Design. Its aim is to raise awareness around the strategies Architects and Designers are employing to deal with contemporary global challenges and to bring the best of such projects into the light to inspire the next generation.
